Rhombus Technologies, originally known as Rhombus, was established in the year 2000 by three young, talented Indian visionaries - Umesh Ranglani, Rupesh Doshi and Nishant Jain. Today it has achieved a growth of more than 75% YoY since its inception ten years ago.
Its very first creation, a system called webteacheronline, was conceptualized with the intention of benefiting schools across India using principles of networking. Essentially, it was a portal which aimed at teaching students remotely using chat, desktop sharing, voice and webcam integration. The software was developed in-house and was greatly appreciated by schools that were given a sneak preview of the product.
Rhombus Technologies used the experience it had gained while developing webteacheronline to build up an expert client server architecture model. This model was later used to create its first commercial software product, Watchdog. Over the years, Watchdog has undergone extensive transformation and remains one of the highest revenue generators for Rhombus Technologies.
Impressed by Watchdog’s capabilities, and its success with a number of Rhombus’s clients, other companies began approaching Rhombus to develop customized software. In 2001, Rhombus was approached to develop a software called Webcafé, a cyber café management system that would accurately bill cyber café users for their internet usage. With Webcafé, Rhombus took the client server architecture model it had built to the next level, altering it to efficiently meet an entirely new business requirement.
Due to superior design and excellent marketing initiatives, Webcafé became the cyber café management system of choice. A large number of cyber cafés were eager to sign on as partners in order to further improve the UI and business logic of the software.
Webcafé truly came into the spotlight when the corporate radar of Reliance picked up on its scalability. Within six months, Rhombus signed on with its first big corporate customer and succeeded in building a strong business relationship with Reliance, one that lasts to this day.
Having succeeded in the software development domain, Rhombus set its sights on the thriving industry of Business Process Outsourcing. Right from the onset the BPO division at Rhombus saw tremendous growth, successfully completing 5 cases in the first year alone. Today, Rhombus stands at the top of the list for BPO services, with a total of 300 cases completed for 50 clients across the US, UK and Canada.
Rhombus experienced its next big leap when it welcomed Prashantt Rupani as co-owner and COO in 2005. Prashantt, a veteran in offshore voice based service industry, incorporated loan origination / refinancing, loan modification and various voice based services into Rhombus’s already extensive product and service portfolio. Under his guidance, Rhombus successfully repositioned itself in the industry, offering high-end intelligence outsourcing at extremely competitive prices.

The culmination of his extensive education signaled in a new phase for Umesh as he pursued his ambition and, along with his friends, co-founded Rhombus Technologies.
Umesh has a keen interest in Psychology and Philosophy and has completed a course in these subjects from Harvard Summer School. Umesh, an atheist, is unmarried and believes in loving life and living it to the fullest.
CEO - Mortgage Division
Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Prashantt is a consummate executive and entrepreneur. In 2006, he began his journey with Rhombus Technologies as a Co-Owner and member of the Board of Directors.
Prashantt began his career with more than five years experience in his family business in the field of Finance and Construction. Later, he went on to gain more than ten years experience in the BPO industry.
This versatile, growth-oriented executive advances visionary change in times of economic uncertainty by developing high-impact operational strategies. He firmly believes in leading by example and this is reflected in his keen interest in continuous process improvement. Prashantt successfully manages institutional growth through perceptive analysis of market trends, and organizational capability and capacity.
Prashantt is a motivated young professional with numerous talents and considerable self-discipline. He is fun-loving, likable, enthusiastic, trusting and trustworthy.

Rekha has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and has also done her software engineering from NIIT. Atrue visionary, she brings to the table a refreshingly resourceful perspective and an impressive, comprehensive knowledge of the vibrant Mortgage Industry, amongst various other domains.
Rekha's expertise lies in developing and executing successful channels, teams, and inventive financial strategies for companies at their start-up and right through the various development stages as well. Rekha has incredible determination and is constantly driven to achieve the unachievable. Her enthusiasm and energy is positively contagious, a quality she is admired for by both clients and colleagues.
She is simple, independent, single and ambitious. She strongly believes in family values and that honesty and professionalism is the true path to growth and success.

Head - ISP Sales
Sajith, who is a Graduate in Physics, is one of the co-founders of ISP services in Rhombus.
Sajith is in charge of all Sales and Marketing activities in the ISP section. He is also responsible for creating credible, meaningful relationships with companies and retaining them as Rhombus clients. His efforts have greatly contributed towards the tremendous growth of Rhombus’s ISP services.
Sajith believes in team work and is the leader of a team with diverse technical backgrounds. This has encouraged him take on other IT enabled services on behalf of Rhombus. Sajith loves travelling, adventure sports and watching movies in his spare time.
CTO - ISP
Vinayak, who holds a Diploma in Computer Science, is armed with diverse technical experience and extensive knowledge in his field. In 2003, he partnered with Rhombus to create an ISP service department. During the time that he has been associated with Rhombus, he has helped create various cost-effective and reliable solutions with regards to call centre operations and ISP services.
Vinayak is responsible for the smooth functioning of Network and Hardware Systems and is an enabler to various other business operations in rhombus. The tremendous growth of ISP in Rhombus can be attributed to Vinayak’s enthusiasm and dedication.
Vinayak prefers to spend most of his spare time with his family and loves listening to music.
